According to researchers at the Institute for Science Education in Scotland, the Simpsons, Star Trek and other television shows with scientific content offer a great way of teaching science to kids. Perhaps it's not surprising that kids are more likely to pay attention to lessons learned in cartoons and adventurous science fiction than through pure lecturing.
